I got my final postcard from Beth in Ohio. This swap has been a lot of fun and turned out much better than the potholder swap did! I'm looking forward to the Winter/Christmas postcard swap coming up next!

Postcard Swap

I just completed my postcards for the swap. Since this is my first time participating, I made 3 identical postcards-each for different people. I used by new interest in machine embroidery to make the mummy on the front. They will be in the mail tomorrow!

Friday Night Sew-In Quilt

Here's the quilt I made for the Friday Night Sew-In. I finished the border this evening. It's a puzzle quilt that I'm planning to hang in my classroom. I work with many students with autism and the symbol for autism is the puzzle pieces. I've had this pattern for quite awhile, but finally got around to making it. I still need to quilt it. I wonder when that will happen?

I entered my first contest with a Valentine's quilt that I made in 2006. You can vote for me by clicking on the link for the Weekly Themed Quilt Contest on the right side of my blog. Crazy Baby Quilt

Another productive evening...I finished the top of a baby quilt that I am giving to a co-worker. It's a little overdue, but that's what happens when people don't find out what the gender of the baby is before they deliver! Well, it was a girl! I used the Kwik Scrappy Square pattern from Two Quik Quilters. If you have ever wanted to try a crazy quilt, but didn't know where to start...their patterns are so easy! I have used at least 3 of their patterns, including the one for the tote bag. I actually used this same fabric for a tote baby and made a baby bag for another co-worker. Now, if I could only get out to the store to get some fabric for the backing, all would be good.
